Why Water Main Repairs and Replacements Matter
The pipe from the toby to the house is the property owner's responsibility, not Watercare's.
A sudden jump in the water bill with no visible leak is often the first sign of a hidden main leak.
Older galvanised or original pipe runs with a history of problems are usually better replaced outright.
Water Main Repairs and Replacements cost
Detection and diagnosis costs less than a confirmed repair.
A single, isolated repair costs less than replacing an entire ageing line.
Full replacement avoids repeat call-outs, which can cost more over time than one bigger job.
